Bollywood’s Karz-fame director Jayendra Kalyani and producer Bhargav Patel’s production Sathvaro Radhe Shyamno – part 2 will present a musical epic ballet in the city on Saturday. Based on 20 songs depicting life and times of Krishna with his soulmate Radha, the ballet is performed by 50 artistes who flaunt 500 costumes in backdrop of eight huge sets beaming with the use of 150 lights. Its first part has created a record of sorts by becoming one of the biggest hits created in the musical show genre on the Gujarati stage.
Producer Bhargav Patel said, “We have done 50 shows of the second edition of the ballet in Mumbai in past six months and 1,100 tickets are sold in 30 minutes. We launched the first edition of this production in 2009 and conducted more than 500 shows in US, UK and India. In 2012 we revamped the show.” The first show of the second edition in Gujarat took place at Junagadh at Krishna temple on Thursday. The second show in the state is scheduled to take place on Saturday at a club on S G Highway by the Samast Vaishnav Vanik Parivar (SVVP), an apex body of 65 social networks.
