He is fondly called India’s modern-day ‘Kanhaiya’ for his masterly control over the bansuri (bamboo flute). Pandit Ranendranath (Ronu) Majumdar said he considered it an honour to be performing in tribute to the late Nandan Mehta at Saptak this year.
